SPY Premiere & After Party
In Twentieth Century Fox’s newest summer blockbuster, directed by Paul Feig, a desk-bound CIA analyst (Melissa McCarthy) volunteers to go undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent a horrible global disaster.
Battling the June gloom, THE FIRM, formerly known as Samantha Sackler Productions, created a two part red carpet at the AMC Lincoln Square. A 69’ tented red carpet was created featuring a 3D SPY logo treatment and step and repeat. As talent finished the exterior portion of the carpet they were then escorted indoors where the team created another 45’ step and repeat red carpet.
After the screening, special guests were invited to the Plaza Hotel to enjoy the after party. For this event, the team wanted to create a mix of elegance with cool and modern. The Plaza’s Grand Ballroom was the perfect canvas for our vision. We brought in contemporary black sofas and coffee tables tying into our black and silver color palate. Stunning diamond bars shimmered throughout the night creating a focal point as guests entered the ballroom. Sleek and modern white and green florals accented the bars, buffets and VIP tables. The centerpieces were created with white Callas, white Hydrangeas, green Callas, white Cymbidium orchids and White Tulips. As a special surprise for all guests, two musical acts from the movie, Ivy Levan and Verka Serduchka & Band performed. Ivy performed the films theme song, “Who Can You Trust” while Verka, a Ukrainian drag performer got the whole party on their feet. Paul Feig (director) and Melissa McCarthy both hit the stage with Verka & Band creating an unforgettable experience for all guests.
