OneFifty Meeting
On February 4th, THE FIRM, formerly known as Samantha Sackler Productions, assisted Time Warner in planning and orchestrating their OneFifty Division Meeting. Time Warner has recently introduced a new division within their company, OneFifty, that allows fresh unsigned talent to appear in front of Time Warner executives to present their ideas.
The Hudson Loft, a trendy venue in Downtown LA, was the perfect setting for this meeting to take place. The floors were unique in that they were cement tiles, and the space featured many exposed columns and beams. The room used for the meeting was on the corner of the building and two of the walls were made up of floor to ceiling windows. The view of the skyscrapers, and the natural light made the room feel very warm and open, setting the tone for the day.
Directly in front of the window, Sackler’s team built a small stage for the speakers and presenters. The backdrop of the stage was a large custom graphic with the division logo. This backdrop was the perfect way to eliminate the light that would’ve streamed in from behind the stage.
Sackler included furniture that accented the Hudson Loft’s existing industrial look and feel. They wanted to use furniture that made this meeting feel more casual and less stark, so they created small seating vignettes. We chose a modern looking, plastic seats to fill the room. We coupled these chairs around a small dark wooden coffee table with chrome legs to provide an earthy element to contrast the chairs.
Because the cement floors and windows created an echo, we brought in area rugs and gray pipe and drape to absorb the sound. The drape also helped remove some of the extra light behind the plasmas, which made the presentation pop.

The presentations went off without a hitch! Directly following the meeting, guests were invited down the hall to enjoy lunch while keynote speakers Kevin Tsujihara and Marverick Carter spoke and answered questions.
THE FIRM was definitely inspired by this event and look forward to more ‘meeting of the minds’ in the future!
