National Geographic helped close out the 2019 TCA’s with an out of this world closing reception at the gorgeous Langham Hotel in Pasadena. Guests were instantly immersed when greeted by a custom-built National Geographic archway flanked by LED screens that were inset a giant galaxy decaled wall. The screens depicted scenes from their upcoming movies Apollo 11 and Hot Zone. Adjacent was a custom-made 10’ rock climbing wall photo moment to nod to Free Solo and a virtual reality area for guests to experience free climbing Yosemite’s 3,000 ft high wall. The event included mood setting cosmic lighting, an interactive life size Light Brite that spelled out “APOLLO” and star gazing through professional grade telescopes that really allowed the attendee to feel part of this outer-space experience. Décor included modern sleek white leather sofas and chairs from Designer8 Furniture and custom Nat Geo decaled 12’ bar that stood at the main window as a pillar of the party.
