Los Angeles Youth Network 30th Anniversary Gala
This past week Samantha Sackler and her team had the wonderful opportunity to work with the Los Angeles Youth Network in creating a gorgeous reception and dinner for their “Key of Hope 30th Anniversary Gala”. The Los Angeles Youth Network (LAYN) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to end youth homelessness. They provide shelter, food and counseling to homeless, runaway and foster youth ages 12-17.
THE FIRM, formerly known as Samantha Sackler Productions, was inspired by the passion and love seen in each of the three LAYN homes and wanted to portray this throughout this special event. The team transformed the Greek Theater into a youthful, yet elegant evening. As guests arrived they were immediately escorted along the red carpet and into the North Concourse of the Theater. THE FIRM transformed this “food court area” of the Greek into a beautiful silent auction and cocktail reception. We lined the perimeter of the space with wood walls and hedging, adding some texture and color to the space. We brought in Designer 8*’s Silver Jax and Rox furniture collections, Mason cocktail tables and beautiful Diamond Mirror bars to further transform the space. Green and purple pillows as well as purple linens tied in the organizations logo colors. To help create the youthful vibe we added in paper flowers to adorn the hedging. THE FIRM also created a “raffle prize door,” as a way for the organization to raise more money. The door used was taken from one of the houses and we hung antique skeleton keys with various numbers attached, guests who purchased a raffle ticket were able to take home a key as a souvenir. Each of the three LAYN houses decorated a chalk board that hung over the silent auction area to personalize the event further.
After the silent auction was over, guests were then escorted onto the main stage for the speeches and dinner. Here, guests stood in awe as they looked out over the seats, a view not seen by many. THE FIRM fully transformed the stage into a gorgeous seated dinner. The back of the stage featured a 25’H x 45’W chalk drawing of the Taft House, the first home the organization opened. Each table was adorned with a gorgeous centerpiece filled with purple and green Hydrangeas as well as a key word that described the LAYN organization. As the sun set over the hills, guests listened to several inspiring speeches as well as guest performances by Jake Simpson, Stacy Francis and Tierney Sutton.
We were honored to be part of such an amazing event!
