20th Centuy Fox’ The Fault In Our Stars, originating from the same titled book written by John Green, tells the story about Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Gus (Ansel Elgort), two teenagers who meet and fall in love in a cancer support group. For the premiere, THE FIRM, formerly known as Samantha Sackler Productions, produced a 140′ long “Fault” blue carpet. The book
for the massive crowds, we pulled street closure permits for the streets near the theater 48 hours before the event. Author of the book, John Green, arrived nearly two hours before the carpet opened to sign autographs and take pictures with the fans. The carpet also featured a Google Hangout, which in conjunction with The Today Show, had interviews live from the carpet 30 minutes before it officially opened with Green, Woodley, and Elgort. The first 300 fans were ecstatic when we surprised them with tickets to see the film at the premiere.
