In 20th Century Fox’ X-Men: Days of Future Past, Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, gets sent to the past to prevent doom of the world as we know it. For the most anticipated movie of Summer 2014 starring 20+ A-List talent, THE FIRM, formerly known as Samantha Sackler Productions, knew they had to create a premiere that was just as grand. On May 10, 2014 fans swarmed the streets surrounding the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York, some of them even waiting overnight in the rain. 1500 lucky fans got the experience of a lifetime. The first 500 of those fans were given a first hand experience on the red carpet. The next 1000 fans were able to see talent arrivals and watched the action on the carpet from the Yahoo livestream played on the jumbotron suspended over the fans. Guests entered the River Pavilion through a Cerebro tunnel, which gave way to a breathtaking space. Once inside, the energy was exhilarating, fans of all ages were dressed as their favorite characters and were anxiously waiting to see the cast! THE FIRM created a 184′ custom fabricated step and repeat wall that stood 20′ high. All the logos and posters were backlit adding to the Cerebro effect. At
the end of the step and repeat wall stood a 20′ tall 3D Hologram stage showing various clips from the movie as well as 16′ tall characters and custom created content by Musion 3D Technology. The hologram was created using LED tiles, the first time this technology has ever been done before. Invited guests and talent continued into the main room of the River Pavilion which overlooks the Hudson River. This space was transformed into a state of the art 3D movie theater with full surround sound. A huge 60′ wide by 25′ tall silver screen was installed on the north side of the room allowing guests to view the Hudson as they watched the film.
